EIF Meetings
Board Members of the EIF regularly meet online to discuss the yearly programme of campaigns and events.
Once or twice a year the Board members meet at one of the major bookfairs to update eachother on the member associations activities, do’s and don’ts and exchange knowledge on local and EU developments in copyright and the creative industry laws in general.
Bologna Children's Book Fair
EIF every year is present at Bologna Children’s Book Fair.
EIF shares a stand at Bologna Children’s Book Fair with AI – the Italian Associazione Autori di Immagini. During 4 days members of the EIF and AI are avallable for portfolio sessions, advice talks. The EIF and AI have organised several talks at the Illustrators Survival Corner on contracts, agents and self-promotion.
The main EIF attraction however is the yearly Illustrators Dinner Party, a moment for illustrators from every corner of Europe and the world to meet and draw together!
Frankfurter Buckmesse
EIF every year is present at the Frankfurter Book Fair.
Thanks to the German IO Illustratoren Organisation, EIF has the opportunity to spread the word about it’s activities. Frankfurt is also the place where the general EIF Assembly takes place and decisions on future plans, events and campaigns
