MARIUS PÅLERUD

CREATE IMAGERY THAT CAUSES THE READER TO STOP

Marius Pålerud (b. 1985) is a Norwegian Illustrator based in Oslo. With a client roster from both Norway and the U.K. he has experience within multiple fields of illustration. In his home country he has worked with a number of broadhseet newspapers such as VG, Aftenposten and DagensNæringsliv. Working in a conceptual manner he strives to create imagery that evokes emotion within the viewer.

“My aim is to create imagery that causes the reader to stop, to take a break and to experience a moment of intriguing visual stimulation”

Through Marius’ work, the viewer is taken on a voyage of discovery. The eye is led on a visual treasure hunt continually being rewarded as it explores the work. By using found and made textures while seamlessly combining simple and complex elements Marius freshens the visual palette while creating absorbing and highly dynamic illustrations.

Marius is member of GRAFILL / Norway
